Pat Taylor CPA/PFS, RLP®
“When people are planning with their CPAs, attorneys, agents, and money managers, it’s hard for everyone to understand each other’s business. As wealth manager, I like to interpret and educate. I take the financial jargon and translate it, so we’re all talking the same, client-centric language.”
When Pat founded affiliated Conry-Taylor & Company CPAs PC in 1988, she drew from her extensive background to build a ground-breaking model for assisting Knoxville-area families with their business accounting, tax preparation and financial planning needs. In 2008, she built on her early vision to co-found what became Insight Strategic Wealth, an independent, fee-only Registered Investment Advisor firm. As a small business owner herself, with hands-on experience as an accountant, tax specialist, and financial planner, Pat’s steady leadership has been instrumental in developing our distinct Financial Life Planning client experience, as well as our Five-Touch Financial Care™ solution.
Pat holds a bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University and has been a practicing CPA since 1984. She obtained her AICPA Financial Planning Specialty (PFS) designation in 2010, and became a Kinder Institute Registered Life Planner (RLP®) in 2021.
Pat is married, with two daughters and three grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering in and around the greater Knoxville community, especially in mental health and education. Wherever she is found, you can count on Pat to speak plainly and directly, bridging gaps and resolving confusion.
Jaime Conry CPA, CFP®, RLP®
“I love working one-on-one with clients to identify their personal financial goals and working together towards meeting those goals. I am honored to walk alongside my clients in discovering how to align their money with their values and find financial freedom.”
Jaime joined the Insight Strategic Wealth team in 2014 as a Portfolio Manager. She leverages her passion for excellence, attention to detail, and 10-plus years as an accountant—including time as an auditor at Ernst & Young—to develop meaningful, effective portfolios and financial plans for Insight’s individual investor clients. She also is instrumental in crafting 401(k) and similar retirement plan solutions for Knoxville-area business owners.
Jaime holds a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Denver, as well as bachelor’s degrees in accounting and international business. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), and Kinder Life Institute Registered Life Planner (RLP®).
On a personal note, Jaime has a daughter, who keeps her busy outside of work. Other than financial planning, Jaime’s passion is meditation. She started meditating in 2015. She has meditated daily ever since, attending many silent retreats, and becoming a certified meditation and mindfulness instructor in 2019.
Brad Reynolds CFP®
“Financial planning is wonderful because it’s forward-focused. When I was doing tax work, I was reporting on what’s already been done. With financial life planning, I get to look straight ahead, helping people decide where they’d like to go and how they’re going to get there. I love that about my career.”
Instructor, accountant, financial planner, family caretaker … professional musician. There’s not much Brad hasn’t achieved during a multifaceted career. As portfolio manager at Insight since 2019, he continues to spread his talent around, producing financial planning and retirement reports and projections, overseeing client transactions, participating in client meetings, and more.
Brad holds a master’s degree in accounting and a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Tennessee. Prior to his career in accounting and finance, he played bass for two “modestly successful” rock & roll bands. He also took a six-month sabbatical in his mid-30s to help care for his father, who was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s.
These days, Brad enjoys living lakeside with his wife, two young sons, and Ranger, his chocolate lab. And, yes, he still enjoys the occasional jam session with a few friends, in a style they’ve aptly named, “Dad Rock.”
“It’s great to be at a firm where exceptional client service is goal one for all of us. My role is to take care of those million little distracting things behind the scenes, so our advisors can devote their workday to our clients.”
With our mission to customize each client relationship, our back-office operations require meticulous oversight every step of the way. Since 2018, Stephanie has been making sure we’re doing just that, with every piece of paperwork in place and accurately completed for each client. Above and beyond the administrative rigor she brings to our team, Stephanie is also our sounding board and source of creative inspiration whenever it’s time to think outside the box.
Before joining the Insight team, Stephanie built a rich and varied career as an international credit specialist, field examiner, account manager, and financial service representative across a variety of industries. She holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Tennessee.
Outside of the office Stephanie’s weekdays are spent picking up her daughter Gracie from school, taking care of dinner and homework, and then winding down with some video games before it’s time for bed… often for both of them! She and her husband Rick usually dedicate their weekends to family catch-up time as well.
